Services

  • biological and abiological samples preparation for electron microscopy, image acquisition and quantitative analysis, data interpretation;
  • ultrastructural analyses at the nanoscale level, detection and characterization of nanoparticles and nanomaterials;
  • elemental analysis through EELS (Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy) and X-ray analysis in electron microscopy;
  • supervision for fluorescence optic microscopy and confocal microscopy acquisitions.

Equipment

  • transmitted light and fluorescence microscope (DMRA 2, Leica Microsystems);
  • confocal laser scanning microscope (TCS SP2, Leica Microsystems) equipped with different lasers and / or laser lines (405, 458, 488, 514, 561 and 643);
  • optical microscope equipped with software for stereology (Stereo Investigator system)
  • scanning electron microscope equipped with EDS module (Energy Dispersive X-ray microanalysis) (LEO-1430, Zeiss);
  • a transmission electron microscope with Omega filter (EFTEM LEO 912AB, Zeiss);
  • equipment for the preparation of samples for electron microscopy (microtomes, ultramicrotomes, gilder, CPD)
